Celine was brought suddenly to the past by a flash of light from her time machine. Stepping out of the capsule she looked around. Her eyes red from crying, darted around the new terrain. To the right she spotted a house and to the left were woods. Not wanting to go too far from her time machine she only walked a few steps. Realizing she wasn't in the time she hoped she kicked the time machine for messing up. Of course she only hurt herself by doing this. For some reason she felt the presence of someone behind her. She turned around and saw a guy about her age. Thinking she could win him over with her piercing purple eyes and curly blonde hair, she gave a innocent but seductive smile. He didn't want to have anything to do with her but he wanted to help. He asked a lot of questions about her, her clothes, and how she got here. She answered them all willingly but a tone of disappointment was in her voice. Why didn't he like her? Did he think she was ugly? She soon found out why. Suddenly a girl about Celine's age came out of the house she had seen. Now it was clear to her. The guy didn't like her because he was already involved. As soon as the other girl came up to them, they exchanged names. The girl was Celes and the guy she had been trying to hit on was Dura. They made small talk for awhile and Celine tried to explain how she got here. Out of the blue Celes offered to let Celine stay at her house. Celine didn't want to be a burden but was convinced she wouldn't be, and was talked into staying. That night they all sat at the dinner table wondering what to say. Celine looked down at the soup they were having and began to think of how her grandma used to make her soup when she visited. Tears began to well up in her eyes but she wouldn't allow them to come. Instead, she excused herself from the table and began to walk to the room she was staying in. She overheard Dura and Celes talking about taking a walk in the woods. Then Celes called after Celine to ask if she wanted to go. Celine agreed. She walked into the room and quietly closed the door behind her. Turning towards the bed she noticed that Celes had given her a dress and a nightgown to wear. She smiled, realizing the clothes she had on were inappropriate for the time period she had come to. She sat on the bed not knowing what to do. Soon her mind began to wander. She thought about the last time she saw her grandma and how bad she wished she could see her again. Staring blankly at the floor, she heard a noise in the hall. Soon after that, there was a knock on the door. Celine went to the door and opened it slowly. Celes was standing there with a concerned look on her face. "Do you mind if I come in?" asked Celes, not wanting to be in the way. Celine walked back to the bed. "No, have a seat." Celine motioned to a place on the bed next to her. Celes sat down and suddenly had a lack of words. Knowing what Celes wanted to ask, Celine said, "Yeah, I'll be fine...I just really miss my grandma." Then Celes explained her parents had died awhile ago. They looked at each other and changed the subject. Celes motioned to the dress and said "I thought you would like this" she paused "It would look nice on you." Celine looked at the dress. "It's very pretty. And green is my favorite color." She picked it up and went behind the changing wall. She put on the dress and stepped out from behind the wall. She inspected the dress and turned around in a circle. Celes' eyes widened. "I have an idea! We could put up your hair too!" said Celes ecstatically. Celine agreed and sat down on the floor in front of Celes. When they were done Celine's hair looked perfect. A few curls framed her face and the rest was piled on top of her head. They both giggled with delight, exclaiming how much they wished they had sisters. From then on, they decided that Celine was the sister Celes never had. Wanting to show Dura how Celine looked, Celes opened the door and urged her out. Hesitantly, Celine stepped into the hall and walked to where Dura was. Dura looked up surprised at the change. Teasingly, Celes said "Oh Dura, wouldn't you like to be made up too?" Playing along, Celine stated "I think blue is your color....wait...pink is more like it." The two laughed hysterically as Dura hesitantly backed away from them. Celes and Celine insincerely apologized and laughed some more. "Well, shall we get going?" said Dura motioning to the door. "Sure." replied Celine and Celes in unison. Dura held open the door for both of them and they walked outside. Celine looked down to admire her dress and noticed that she still had her running shoes on. She laughed and told Celes, who in return ran into the house and got some suitable shoes for her. Celine said thank you and put them on. Finally they began their walk to the woods. As they came into the woods, a hovering figure appeared in front of them. Celes seemed to be getting angry and Dura started to pull out his sword. Not knowing what to do, Celine took out her gun but was told that it wouldn't work, so she put it away. The guy introduced himself as Rito. As he looked over to Celine he said "You aren't from around here are you?" and gave an evil grin. Then he went to Dura and and they started to have an argument. Rito called on some kind of sidekick guy named Tedrin to beat up Dura. Tedrin seemed to appear out of thin air. He approached Dura and they began to fight. Now that he had occupied Dura, Rito made his way over to Celine and Celes. Wanting to protecet Celine, Celes yelled "Leave us alone! All we wanted to do was walk in the woods." Rito just laughed and cirdled around them. Looking at him Celine became disappointed. "Geez...they're either taken or they're evil maniacs." said Celine just loud enough for Rito to hear. Then she turned to see what Celes was doing, but she wasn't there. She had gone to help Dura. So there she was alone with some strange person. Rito circled around her and acted as if he was scanning her from head to toe. Then out of the blue he said "So you think I'm a evil maniac? Well, I might have to do something about that." He began to lift her off the ground in some sort of energy ball. Celine, about to freak out, looks over to Dura and Celes to see if they saw her and what was happening. Seeing that they were busy, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Concentrating, she closed her eyes and screamed the most loudest, annoying scream anyone has ever heard. Looking around she noticed that everyone had covered their ears and stopped what they were doing. Rito dropped her to the ground and shook his head as if trying to clear the scream from it. Celine hit the ground hard and winced as she got up. Just as she was getting up, Rito and Tedrin vanished. She was guessing they left because they were getting sick of being beat up. Walking over Celes and Dura, she said "I'm gonna go for a walk. I need to clear my head." They nodded in return and said they would be in the house. When Celine returned from her walk, every one was asleep. The next day they decided to go for another walk. Celine didn't really want to, remembering what happened last time.
